Alas, the Water Garden Society had elected
to disband as a formal club. We may, from time to time, have some informal gatherings. Michael Fiore, of Smith’s Gardentown, has created a Facebook group called “Wichita Falls Area Water Garden Club,” and you are invited to join. You can post photos of your pond, ask questions or chat with other folks in the area who are also interested. Michael is quite knowledgeable about the topic (in fact, his degree from A&M is in fisheries). In less than one month, there are already 109 members, so come join in the fun. I am going to leave the web site up because I think the photos are incredible. I will still be happy to respond to any questions you might have. As John Muir said,
”Everyone needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul.” |

If you have too much algae, try NOT feeding your fish. If you have a reasonable ecological balance with plants in your pond, you probably do not need to feed your fish at all. |
In celebrating the joys of nature
